RECREATIONAL PROGRAM

Our Recreational Program is designed for students who are only interested in studying dance as a fun extracurricular activity. Students registering for this program will not be prepared for dance examinations, solos, duets, trios or entrance into dance competitions, but will perform in our annual recital. In this program, students will select the disciplines they wish to study from the following available classes:

Students 3 – 4 – 5 Years of Age, attend a one hour class on Saturday mornings. The classes are designed to instill a love of moving and dancing while promoting physical, social, emotional and cognitive growth in a positive environment:

3 Years of Age – Saturday (9:00 – 10:00)

• Total cost for one year, including one costume for recital $410.00 plus HST (payable in 5 installments)

4 Years of Age – Saturday – (10:15 – 11:15) (split class ½ hour tap – ½ hour ballet)

5 Years of Age – Saturday – (11:30 – 12:30) (split class ½ hour tap – ½ hour ballet)

• Total cost for one year, including two costumes for recital $490.00 plus HST (payable in 5 installments)

Students 6 - 7 – 8 Years of Age, have the option of studying ballet, tap, or jazz. They may choose to study one, two, or all of the disciplines offered. Each class meets for one hour every week as follows:

• Beginner Tap --Saturday(11:30 - 12:30)
• Beginner Jazz– Saturday (12;30 - 1:30)
• Pre-ballet– Thursday (5:00 - 6:00)
• Level 1 Tap– Saturday (1:30 - 3:30)
• Level 1 Jazz– Saturday(12:30 - 1:30)

Total cost for one discipline for one year, including one costume for recital $430.00 plus HST (payable in 5 installments)
Total cost for two disciplines for one year, including two costumes for $803.90 plus HST (payable in 5 installments)
Total cost for three disciplines for one year, including three costumes for recital $1,161.13 plus HST (payable in 5 installments)

STUDENTS 8 YEARS OF AGE WHO WISH TO STUDY BALLET, TAP & JAZZ SHOULD CONSIDER OUR PROGRAM “B"

Students 9 years of Age and up have the option of studying Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern. They may choose to study as many disciplines as they desire. 

PLEASE NOTE:

• Modern is only available to students who are also studying Jazz or Ballet
• Hip Hop is only available to students who are also studying Jazz (until they reach the age of 14 at which time Hip Hop can be studied independently)

Students are placed in classes based on age and previous dance experience. Please contact us to ascertain which class is best suited to you. Classes are currently tentatively scheduled as follows:

Level 2 Jazz - Thursday (4:30 - 5:30)
Level 3 Jazz - Thursday (5:30 - 7:00)
Level 4 Jazz - Thursday (8:00 - 9:30)
Level 2 Tap - Saturday (2:30 - 3:30)
Beginner Hip Hop - Thursday (8:30 - 9:30)
Level 1 Hip Hop – Tuesday (4:30 - 5:30)
Level 2 Hip Hop – Thursday (7:00 - 8:00)
Level 1 Modern – Monday (7:30 – 8:30)
Level 2 Modern – Tuesday (8:00 – 9:30)
Level 3 Modern -- Monday (4:30 - 6:00)

Cost based on each class being 1.5 hours per week. If your class is only 1 hour the cost will be reduced accordingly:

• Total cost for one discipline for one year, including one costume for recital $618.30 plus HST (payable in 5 installments)
• Total cost for two disciplines for one year, including two costumes for $1,101.30 plus HST (payable in five installments.
• Total cost for three disciplines for one year, including three costumes for recital $1,600.80 plus HST (payable in 5 installments)
• Total cost for four disciplines for one year, including four costumes for recital $2,106.90 plus HST

• Total cost for five disciplines for one year, including five costumes for recital $2,613.00 plus HST (payable in 5 installments)

STUDENTS WITH A PASSION FOR DANCE WHO WISH TO STUDY MORE SERIOUSLY SHOULD CONSIDER OUR PRE-PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM “A”
   

PROGRAM “B”

Program “B” is designed for students 8 and 9 years of age who wish to study Ballet, Tap and Jazz. These students must be recommended to study in the program by one of our faculty members. They will not be prepared for dance examinations or entrance in dance competitions, but will perform 3 dances in our annual recital. The class meets two days a week for 2 hours each day as follows:

Wednesday:  5:00 - 6:00 (Jazz)  - 6:00 - 7:00 (Ballet)
Saturday:  9:30 - 10:30 (Tap)  -  10:30 - 11:30 (Ballet)

Total Cost for one year, including three costumes for the recital $1,144.80 plus HST. (payable in five installments)
  

PRE-PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM “A”

Our Pre-professional Program is designed for the student who has a sincere passion for dance. These students must be recommended to study in the program by one of our faculty members. Students in this program will be prepared for dance examinations, administered by the Canadian Dance Teachers’ Association, in Ballet, Tap and Jazz and entrance into Dance Competitions, and will perform in our annual recital. Students must take all classes scheduled for their level to be eligible for enrollment in the pre-professional program, and are expected to put dance above any other extra-curricular commitments. Students enrolled in this program also have the option of adding additional classes to their weekly study, as noted below. The classes meet as follows:

GROUP 1
Monday

Ballet Examination Class (4:30 – 6:00)
Tap/Jazz Examination Class (6:00 – 7:30)

Wednesday

Ballet (4:30 – 6:00)
Jazz (6:00 - 7:30)

Saturday

Ballet (9:00 - 10:30)
Tap (10:30 - 11:30)

Total Program Cost for one Year including 3 Costumes for recital/competition, Competition Entrance Fees, Dance Examination Entrance Fees $2,097.00 plus HST. (payable in five installments).

Students enrolled in Group 1 have the option of adding:

• Hip Hop – Tuesday (4:30 - 5:30)
• Modern – Monday (7:30 – 8:30)

Total Additional Cost to add one discipline for one year, including 1 costume $450.00 plus HST. (added to program cost noted above and payable in five installments)

Total Additional Cost to add two disciplines for one year, including 2 costumes $843.90 plus HST. (added to program cost noted above and payable in five installments)

• Lyrical - Thursday (7:30 - 8:30) - Additional cost for one year including 1 costume, competition entrance fees $510.00 plus HST. (added to Program Cost noted above and payable in five installments)
• Hip Hop – Tuesday (4;00 - 5:30) - Additional cost for one year including 1 costume $450.00 plus HST (added to Program Cost noted above and payable in five installments)
• Modern – Monday (7:30 - 8:30) - Additional cost for one year including 1 costume $450.00 plus HST (added to Program Cost noted above and payable in five installments)
• Repertoire (12 years and over) – Thursday (5:30 – 7:00) - Additional cost for one year including 1 costume and competition entrance fees $678.30 plus HST (added to Program Cost noted above and payable in five installments)
